SLOCOMB, Ala. (WDHN) — The City of Slocomb Fire-Rescue’s annual Boot Drive was a huge success, raising a total of $14,391!. Slocomb Fire Department ran a boot-themed fundraiser on May 24 and 25 to raise funds for life-saving equipment that would serve East Geneva County citizens, accepting money in the form of QR codes and asking people passing by to donate cash into a fireman’s boot.
