Suspected DUI driver arrested following pursuit ending in crash on I-605 in Pico Rivera
A brief pursuit with a suspected DUI driver came to a crashing end late Friday evening, when the suspect crashed into multiple vehicles, including a gasoline tanker, on I-605 in Pico Rivera.According to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies, the pursuit began just before 10:45 p.m. in the city of Compton when they witnessed the suspect driving recklessly. After briefly chasing the suspect, deputies reported calling the pursuit off as the suspect continued to flee through Lynwood on the 105 Freeway near Alameda Street. California Highway Patrol officers then took over the chase. The suspect led officers through Paramount and Bellflower before transitioning onto northbound lanes of the 605 Freeway., where he crashed into three vehicles, including a gasoline tanker. Authorities arrested the suspect and a passenger in the vehicle after they came to stop outside of the Denny's on Slauson Avenue. There was no information provided on the suspect's identity. With the wreckage of the three uninvolved vehicles remaining on I-605, traffic could be seen backed up for miles.

LONG BEACH – An occupied business and two unoccupied vehicles were struck by gunfire intended for two men during a shooting in Long Beach, authorities said Saturday. 1 killed in officer-involved shooting in Burbank
BURBANK, Calif. - One person was shot and killed by Burbank Police Saturday afternoon and now the department is investigating the shooting. The shooting happened around 4 p.m., according to the Burbank Police Department, after a person called 911 saying that he was sitting in a car in the parking lot with a gun, and that he was going to shoot people. Burbank Police said that the suspect even told the 911 operator the make and color of his car.

Hit-and-run driver turns self in days after crash killing pedestrian in Tarzana
The driver in a hit-and-run crash that occurred in Tarzana on Tuesday, leaving a pedestrian dead, has reportedly surrendered to police. Los Angeles Police Department officers originally reported that the crash happened at around 10:10 p.m. on Reseda Boulevard near St. Moritz Drive. The crash left Rosa Zareaseisan, 45, dead at the scene. Officers reported that a dark-colored vehicle, possibly a Range Rover, was traveling southbound on Reseda Blvd. when it struck the Zareaseisan, who was jogging at the time, and fled from the scene. Police noted that the suspect could be seen making a u-turn before heading northbound on Reseda. "It was definitely very, very high speed because the car parts were everywhere," said witness Aidin Yousefi, the night of the crash.. "I saw these AirPods in the street and I saw a broken cell phone and I was trying to call 911, but I couldn't. But my girlfriend was actually able to call 911."They said that the driver, who has not yet been identified, turned themself into police the next day. Anyone who witnessed the crash or had additional information was asked to contact detectives at (818) 644-8035.
