FREDERICK COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) said a person was hurt and an Arizona man was arrested following a fight and shooting at a restaurant Saturday night.

Calls to FCSO started coming in just after 10 p.m. to report that shots had been fired outside of the Backseat Bar and Grill on Full House Drive.

According to one caller, gunshots were heard near the parking lot and a suspect was being held down by diners.

Investigators said that 30-year-old Jorge Camacho of Phoenix, Ariz. was belligerent with customers inside of the restaurant. He was asked to leave and escorted to his truck.

Camacho came back a short time later and pointed a gun at a man sitting in the outdoor seating area. They had been arguing earlier in the evening, witnesses said.

The man grabbed at the gun and they began to fight. FCSO said at least one shot was fired during the struggle.

After the shot rang out, more patrons joined the fight, hitting Camacho until they got control of his gun. They then kept him on the ground until officers arrived and arrested him.

Police said they believe at least one person was struck by a stray round and left the scene before paramedics arrived., He arrived at a hospital a short time later and was treated for what appeared to be a graze wound to his side, sustained during the fight at the grill.

Camacho was also taken to a hospital after being injured in the fight.

While investigating, FCSO learned Camacho was a convicted felon who was illegally in possession of a gun. He has now been charged with at least five felonies.

After he was cleared from the hospital, officers took him to the Regional Adult Detention Facility.
