Selvera joins the Pharr International Bridge team as assistant director
PHARR, Texas – The City of Pharr has hired a new assistant director for the Pharr International Bridge. George Selvera’s job is to bring in new business. “The city has asked me to bring in 60 new accounts every year. That means more companies using the bridge,” Selvera said.

Commissioners host meeting, approve proclamations
The Board of Commissioners of the City of Pharr met for a regular meeting last Monday and considered an agenda that included various highlights. Mayor Ambrosio Hernandez, M.D., and the Pharr City Commission approved a proclamation declaring May 6, 2024 as 'City of Pharr Age-Friendly City Day' in observance of the advocacy initiative aimed at creating opportunities for active and friendly aging.

Mission tentatively OKs firefighter union agreement
