Come play Bingo at St. Williams Church
TEWKSBURY — Have you ever wondered about the crowd gathered at St. Williams in Tewksbury on Friday nights? Having lived here for over 20 years, I had always been curious about the filled parking lot and the mystique of bingo. Invited to go and learn with a friend, I couldn’t say no.
Food Whisperer: Groton’s Country Butcher and Deli delivers a mighty submarine sandwich
There’s not much I miss about living in Boston. The food scene is obviously a never-ending treasure hunt to find and try new restaurants, but as a crotchety 33-year-old, the cons now outweigh the pros. However, one thing I miss dearly is access to amazing sandwiches. I’m not talking about a chicken Caesar wrap or a concoction of a nontraditional protein and some fun aioli. No, I’m talking about a quality, fresh, classic deli sandwich like you’d find at the Bricco Salumeria and Pasta Shop in the back alley off Hanover Street.

Universal free school meals, reimbursable by the state and the federal USDA, has led to daily participation of approximately 64 percent of students. Mugford also discussed current and future initiatives, including Meatless Mondays, ethnic recipes to introduce students to global flavors, and QR codes to gather meal feedback from students at the high school.
Royal Breeze Racing Remains Bullish on Massachusetts Breeding and Racing
Royal Breeze Racing, a racing and breeding operation located in Harvard, Massachusetts, owns two Mass-breds, a yearling by Frosted and a weanling by Beau Liam. That may not seem like a lot but when you consider that only five horses were foaled in the state between 2021 and 2023, Royal Breeze has become a leader in an industry still trying to figure out how to stay afloat when there are no racetracks in the state. The last one left was Suffolk Downs, which has not raced since 2019.
Fighting for distribution rights, pub brewers face challenge on Beacon Hill
FITCHBURG — Bill diMario would gladly trade a pair of callused hands and a couple of bucks spent on gas for the chance to introduce his Summer Street brewery to a burger bar of potential customers. He wants to one day haul a keg from Thirsty Robot Brewing Co. to The Fix Burger...
