Walton-Verona schools to expand staff at intermediate school
Walton-Verona Independent School Board of Education unanimously voted to add 15 positions to the Intermediate school at Thursday night’s regular meeting. As work on the school continues, the district is beginning to expand the staff. These positions include: a guidance counselor, a media specialist/response to intervention, two custodians, two cooks, a kitchen manager, a nurse, a secretary, a technology administrative assistant, an art teacher, a music teacher and a physical education teacher.

Community members help raise funds for boy with cerebral palsy
FLORENCE, Ky. — Community members are rallying together to uplift a boy with cerebral palsy and his mother by hosting a craft show and silent auction. Katie Wells said anyone who meets Elijah will instantly fall in love with him. Wells is a service coordinator who met Elijah and his mother, Colleen Sullivan, a few years ago. She connected them to government resources to help provide care for Elijah, who has cerebral palsy.
