Investigation Underway into Incident that Sent Paterson Teen to Hospital with Gunshot Wound

PATERSON, NJ - An investigation is ongoing after a 15-year-old from Paterson arrived at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound on Monday afternoon.

According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In- Charge Isa Abbassi, a suspected crime scene was located in the area of North 8th Street and Oxford Street.

The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office asks anyone with additional information about this incident to contact them on their tips line at 1-877-370-PCPO or tips@passaiccountynj.org or to contact the Paterson Police Shooting Investigation Unit at 973-321-1342.
