"Quilts in the City" set for Yakima Convention Center May 17-18
YAKIMA, Wash.-The Yakima Valley Quilters' Guild's quilt show "Quilts in the City" is set for May 17 and 18 at the Yakima Convention Center. Nearly 400 quilts created by quilters from the Yakima Valley and throughout the Northwest will be on display at this year's show entitled "Where Colors Come True."

Crash in Union Gap hospitalizes motorcyclist
UNION GAP, Wash. - A crash in Union Gap sent a motorcyclist to the hospital on Friday, according to the Union Gap Police Department. UGPD says the crash, which involved the motorcycle and another car, happened at around 1:11 p.m. on the 2000 block of South 16th Avenue. The road was closed for about an hour for crews to clear the crash, according to UGPD Sergeant Curtis Santucci.
