Yakima, Wash. — Asher Niles the 9-year-old Yakima chef continues to compete in the MasterChef Junior kitchen, with a chance to reach the semifinals. In front of a packed watch party at tailgater's bar and grill in Selah, Asher and the remaining four contestants had to elevate a dish they cooked in the first episode.

Yakima County leaders voice support for Airport as passenger volume slowly improves
YAKIMA, WA-- Yakima's air terminal needs a spark. That is according to a graph from airport staff showing passenger volume in Yakima is at half of the rate before COVID. The graph includes the first three months that the additional flights in and out of Sea-Tac returned which did lead to a slight increase in passenger volume.
