    Vote now: Who is The Star Press' IU Health Athlete of the Week for May 6-11?

    It's time again to vote for The Star Press East Central Indiana high school Athlete of the Week sponsored by IU Health.

    The reigning Athlete of the Week is Carter Duncan of Monroe Central baseball after he received 25,483 votes (43.13%) last week. This week brings us more nominees for Athlete of the Week for May 6-11. Please submit nominees via email to clindskog@gannett.com so they can be included in next week's poll.

    Voting will remain open below until Friday at noon.

    • Marcus Bright, Delta boys track: He was a double winner at the Delaware County meet, winning the 110 high hurdles and 300 intermediate. His winning time in the 110 was 14.67, just .07 from the county record, which is from 1978. Additionally, on Thursday he won the 110 at the Hoosier Heritage Conference meet with a record-breaking time of 14.58.
    • Kim Farmer and Kayci Hill, Shenandoah girls track: The duo set broke their respective school records last Friday at the MEC conference meet in the 4x400 and 4x800 relays. The 4x400 team also broke the meet record.
    • Cole Luedike, Monroe Central baseball: The senior catcher/outfielder batted .357 with five runs scored, three RBIs and four stolen bases last week as he compiled a .500 on-base percentage.
    • Collin Osenbaugh, Shenandoah baseball: In two games of the county tournament on Saturday, the junior threw three scoreless innings, striking out six. At the plate, he doubled and tripled while scoring three times and walking three times with an on-base percentage of .875
    • Landon Rabenstein, Wapahani boys golf: The senior scored a hole-in-one last week after recently being named All-Delaware County and an All-MEC honoree.
    • Baylee Richardson, ​Wapahani softball: The senior continues to be on a tear as she hit .491 with 11 doubles, three home runs and 19 RBIs as the Raiders enter the home stretch before the sectional.
