Analysis: Sundance casting call answered across the U.S.
Cities across the country have answered the Sundance Film Festival casting call. The event that has been based in Park City for decades is considering whether to relocate starting with the festival in 2027. There have been media reports throughout the United States about cities interested in hosting Sundance. They range from some of the nation’s largest metropolitan areas like Atlanta and San Francisco to smaller cities like Santa Fe, N.M., and Savannah, Ga., that themselves are considerably more populated than the Park City area. It is not known how many other places submitted information to Sundance.
Park City Girl’s Golf wins region, moves onto state
The Miners were ranked number one, with Park City’s Abby Francis coming in third overall for the regular season. Francis’ teammate Stevie Hough finished fourth over all and Ava Miller took sixth. Rounding out the top-ranked girls, Park City’s Piper Hastings tied for ninth and Chloe Aldous was eleventh.

High Valley Transit’s new 108 bus route delayed for lack of drivers
High Valley Transit planned to launch the new 108 bus route the same day it took over the 10 White Express bus route from Park City Transit. That route is now the 10X running from the Old Town Transit Center to the Kimball Junction Transit Center. On Sunday, April 28, at 11:49 p.m., a man was reported to be sleeping inside a vehicle on S.R. 224. The police described the circumstances as suspicious. The police at 10:10 p.m. received information about a wheel breaking loose from a vehicle in the area of Park Avenue and Empire Avenue. The vehicle was blocking a road at the time of the report, according to public police logs. The police said the vehicle created a traffic hazard.
