Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville seeks teen volunteers for summer
CLARKSVILLE, TN – Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville is seeking Youth Volunteers, known as VolunTeens, for the summer 2024 program. Young people between the ages of 14 and 18 and currently in high school may apply. Up to 20 applicants will be accepted for the 2-week session, held July 15 through 26. The 2024 program will have a strong medical emphasis and is directed toward students on a medical career path. Teens must participate in all 10 days of the program, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

Clarksville High holds off Springfield’s late surge to advance in district tournament
CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Springfield High Yellow Jackets traveled to Clarksville High School to take on the Wildcats in the first round of the 13-4A district tournament on Wednesday, May 1. While Springfield made a late effort to comeback, Clarksville weathered the storm and won 9-6. Early on, Clarksville High’s offense was scoring at will. The team was led by Briley Hagewood and Cade Abernathy, who had three hits each, including a home run that Hagewood sent into orbit. After four innings, Clarksville jumped out to an 8-0 lead. CHS head coach Brian Hetland was excited to see his team start off hot in the postseason.
Rossview High baseball avoids upset scare from Northeast High
CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Northeast High Eagles and Rossview High Hawks both traveled to Clarksville High for a first-round matchup in the 13-4A district tournament on Wednesday, May 1.
