5 horses dead, 9 neglected: Two Ontario County men charged in separate cases
Ontario County, N.Y. (WHAM) — Dead and neglected horses were recently discovered in Ontario County, and now, two men are charged with animal cruelty in separate cases. Alan Scrivener, 72, of Hopewell, and Edward Perdue, 68, of Farmington, are charged separately after a search warrant led police to recover the remains of five dead horses between two different barns, which were both filled with manure. Police say the feces was so deep the horses could not exit the barn.
