Latin Music Artist Arrested in Kidnapping and Assault Case

Miami, FL - A Latin music artist known as Chocolate MC has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting his ex-girlfriend during an assault in South Florida in March.

Authorities say Yosvanis Sierra Hernandez, known by his stage name Chocolate MC, has been arrested by authorities following the alleged kidnapping and assault.

The incident occurred on March 31st outside of an apartment building when Sierra Hernandez allegedly forced his ex-girlfriend into his vehicle at gunpoint, striking her friend in the process.

The victim and her friend had exited an Uber when Sierra Hernandez pulled up in a gray Honda Passport.

Sierra Hernandez then drove the victim to Palm Beach County, where he allegedly raped her.

After committing the assault, Sierra Hernandez took the victim to a gas station, a cousin's house to obtain marijuana, and then to a Motel 6 in Lantana.

During their time at the Motel 6, a Miami police detective contacted the victim, prompting Sierra Hernandez to instruct her to say that she was fine.

However, the victim informed the detective of her kidnapping, leading to her transportation to the Roxcy Bolton Rape Treatment Center.

Surveillance video from various locations corroborated the victim's account of the events.

Sierra Hernandez was charged with sexual battery, armed kidnapping, attempted robbery by sudden snatching, grand theft, and battery.
