PADUCAH — Heads up: If you're planning to hit the pool at Noble Park this weekend, the deep end will be closed all day Saturday and until 3 p.m. on Sunday. Additionally, a post from the Noble Park Facebook page says safety breaks are being added each day, along with a 30-minute break from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday. During the breaks, patrons will have to get out of the water.

Nashville-based alternative rock band Kings Avail will perform on the next installment of Sounds Good's Live Lunch series on Friday, June 16th, at 12 noon. Members are lead vocalist and guitarist Jordan Foster, drummer and co-vocalist Robert Mead, and bassist Kyle Robertson. With 20 counties and more than 60 communities participating mostly along US 68 across Kentucky, this sale offers more than just deals — it's also a fundraiser.

Master Gardener Barbara Ray joined us on WCBL’s Coffee Call program. She says with the rather dry spring it’s important to give your plants plenty of water during this dry spell, and it’s better to do that early morning or late evening. Ray says with prices continuing to rise at the grocery store, more and and more people are exploring vegetable gardening. And she says now is the best time to pull weeds while it’s dry and also watch out for the insects, especially those Japanese Beetles. Ray says lots of free information is also available from the Marshall County Extension office.

From 6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 29th, participating area McDonald's locations will offer retired or active-duty military a free breakfast combo.
