A fire broke out in a detached garage in Jerusalem Township early this morning. Fire crews responded swiftly, managing to protect the house, but the garage was lost. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Sisterville Ferry getting into holiday spirit Saturday
SISTERSVILLE — Free “Very Ferry Christmas Cruises” aboard the Sistersville Ferry will be offered Saturday. The historic ferry providing transportation across the Ohio River between Tyler and Monroe counties will depart at 11 a.m. and noon from Fly and 1 and 2 p.m. from Sistersville. There will be caroling, photos with Santa Claus and hot chocolate.

Pennsboro, W.Va (WDTV) - Two accidents happened on Route 50 near Pennsboro on Saturday. According to a Facebook post by the Pennsboro Pennsboro Volunteer Fire Department, crews from Pennsboro, Harrisville and Ellenboro were called to the scene of an accident at the intersection of Route 50 and Bunnell Run around 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 2.
Student Athlete of the Week: Grace Knowlton
NEW MATAMORAS, Ohio (WTAP) - Grace Knowlton is a senior at Frontier High School, and has been a four-year member of the Lady Cougars basketball team. Grace has a 3.9 GPA, and is in the middle of the busiest season of the school year for her, as she has become the leader of the basketball team. Grace says as she has grown as a leader, she has also been more aggressive while playing, as she has begun scoring the ball at will.
Pennsboro woman remains hospitalized following collision
PARKERSBURG — A Pennsboro woman remained hospitalized following a head-on collision that occurred on U.S. 50 Nov. 29. Brianna L. Jones was driving eastbound when Andrew Warwick, 36, of Williamstown, collided his black 2021 Toyota Tacoma with her 2022 Kia Niro. Jones was life-flighted to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
