Summer is just starting for many high school students and what better way to kick off their break from school than with an exclusive offer to get fit.

Planet Fitness is offering students 14 to 19 years old a High School Summer Pass. Students under the age of 18 can sign up at their local Planet Fitness location or online with a parent or guardian.

Planet Fitness’s Oxford location is 2535 Jackson Ave. West, right across from Zaxby’s.

“As the leader in fitness with locations throughout the U.S. and Canada, Planet Fitness is proud to continue to invest in today’s youth by providing free access to fitness during a critical time in their lives,” Craig Benson stated, the Interim CEO of Planet Fitness in a press release.

A study conducted by Planet Fitness showed that not only does exercise have physical benefits, it has a crucial role in a child’s mental and emotional well-being, too.

The study found that 94% of teens face emotional and mental health struggles while 63% of teens have experienced an overall improvement in self-esteem and a boost in mood when exercising.
