18 months later, B.C. Pizza reopens with $7 buffet, new owner in Kalamazoo
KALAMAZOO, MI — B.C. Pizza is back in Kalamazoo. The dine-in, delivery and carryout pizza spot at 1710 W. Main Street in Tiffany’s Village, quietly reopened May 24 after being closed for 18 months. But word of the $7 lunch buffet is spreading fast.
Another Mexican eatery to come to heart of Wayland?
The sign at the former location of 4 One 2 Distillery in downtown Wayland promises another Mexican restaurant. The former tenant specializes still yet in tacos at the South Main Street site next to the VFW, but the newcomer seems to intend to offer a more complete line of fare from south of the border. Wayland has many eateries that offer Mexican dishes, such as wet burritos, but only a few, such as Rosita’s and Salsa Por Favor, have attempted to be a complete and authentic Mexican restaurant. The site is the corner of Pine and South Main streets.

KALAMAZOO, MI -- A controversial bar near Western Michigan University has closed for good following a rise of violence in the area. Y Bar & Bistro, 2941 Howard St., at the Campus Pointe Mall switched its status on Facebook to permanently closed on Wednesday, May 31. Not long after, the phone number was disconnected and website taken down. No formal announcement was made and no sign appeared on the property’s doors as of Thursday, June 1.
