OSHKOSH ― Two schools are in line for new principals.

Alexandra Piester and Rebecca Montour are expected to take over Carl Traeger Middle School and Perry Tipler Middle School/ALPs, respectively, pending the approvals of the Oshkosh Area School District Board of Education.

Both recommendations were announced ahead of the 2024-25 school year as the OASD looks to fill the vacant principal positions at the two schools.

Piester currently serves as the curriculum and assessment instructional support teacher at Carl Traeger Middle School while Montour is the assistant principal at Maplewood Middle School in Menasha.

“Mrs. Piester’s collaborative leadership and passion for providing high-quality learning will drive continued excellence at Carl Traeger Middle School,” OASD Superintendent Dr. Bryan Davis said in a news release.

“Ms. Montour’s extensive experience, strong leadership skills and passion for serving all students make her an excellent fit for our Perry Tipler and ALPs community.”

Principal Jill Pascarella is retiring from Carl Traeger Middle School after serving the OASD since 1997, while principal Sarah Poquette is resigning from Perry Tipler Middle School to become the district administrator of the School District of Oakfield.

The OASD Board of Education is expected to vote on these principal recommendations at its April 24 meeting.
