Rochester man pleads guilty for car/scooter collision that severely injured one person
ROCHESTER, Minn. – A guilty plea is entered over a crash that left one person with life-threatening injuries. Christian Lloyd Russ, 21 of Rochester, was charged with two counts of criminal vehicular operation for an incident on May 16, 2023. The Rochester Police Department says Russ riding a motorized scooter when he ran a red light at the intersection of Elton Hills Drive NW and 19th Street NW.
Goodhue law enforcement retrieves partially sunk boat from North Lake
(ABC 6 News) – Goodhue first responders towed a partially sunken fishing vessel out of North Lake Friday, May 24. According to dispatch, the single occupant reported that the boat was taking on water Friday morning, after 14- to 15-mile-per-hour winds sent water up over the lip of the vessel.
One injured in two car crash in Rochester
(ABC 6 News) – A driver rear-ended another vehicle in Rochester Saturday. Rochester Police Department were dispatched to the 2100 block of 55th Street NW around 11:24 a.m. One car had flipped over in the crash. One of the drivers was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Semi rollover on Hwy 14/52 ramp in Rochester
(ABC 6 News) — A semi truck has rolled over on the Highway 52 on-ramp from Highway 14 in Rochester. The crash happened around 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, causing a traffic backup. As of 2:30 p.m., the ramp was closed. The Rochester Police Department, the Rochester Fire Department, and an ambulance were all on scene. There does not appear to be any other vehicles involved. No word on any injuries.
UPDATE: Crews respond to cooking fire at Rochester apartment building
RFD has confirmed that the fire was only a cooking fire. There was some smoke, but no damage and everyone was able to go back inside shortly after crews got there. (ABC 6 News) — The Rochester Fire Department is on scene of a possible apartment fire in Rochester.
