Orange County, FL - A central Florida man is suing multiple pharmacies and pharmacists claiming they over-prescribed him Adderall leading to psychosis and other injuries.

According to court documents filed on Wednesday by the attorney of Robert Buckley, “Buckley suffered from an overdose causing psychosis, was falsely imprisoned, suffers seizures, and now suffers permanent injuries."

The lawsuit argues that Buckley suffered injuries and “mental anguish,” and will “be obligated to pay large sums of money for doctors’ bills, hospital bills, and other directly and indirectly related expenses in an effort to alleviate his suffering and cure his injuries.”

The lawsuit names several CVS, Costco, and Publix pharmacies at locations in Orlando, Oviedo, and Casselberry, and the pharmacists who filled Buckley's prescriptions.

The following pharmacies are included in the lawsuit:

    • CVS: Orlando — 4974 N. Alafaya Trail
    • COSTCO: Winter Park — 3333 University Blvd.
    • PUBLIX: Orlando — 400 E. Central Blvd.
    • PUBLIX: Oviedo — 4250 Alafaya Trail
    • PUBLIX: Casselberry — 1455 FL-436

Buckley is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 to cover medical expenses and emotional distress.

Ok but Adderall dosage is set by the doctors, pharmacists only fill the prescription. If the dose is too high or often that's on the doctor. It's also a prescription medication that requires an ID to pick up and doctor permission to refill, so the only way he managed to overdose on the stuff is if he either has multiple doctors/scripts to turn in or was taking more than the doctor recommended. This isn't on the pharmacy.
