Mother of Asante therapy patient speaks out on clinic closing
MEDFORD, Ore. - With Asante closing closing outpatient physical therapy locations, one patient's mother spoke out with concerns about her daughters recovery progress. "I was devastated, my daughter was devastated, There were so many tears," said Connie Schwab, the mother of an Asante therapy patient. "These people are amazing. I realize that Asante has financial issues, but closing this clinic is a horrible mistake."

Medford Residents to See Utility Rate Increase
MEDFORD, Ore. – Medford residents will see a $9.38 increase in utility rates for local maintenance and upgrades, effective July 1. The first bill reflecting the new rate will arrive August 2026. The fee is increasing from over $76 to now $85.91 a month for single family residential customers. It funds public safety, parks, street maintenance, sewer treatment, and storm damage.

Rogue Valley health organizations get federal funds for training
MEDFORD, Ore. — Several Rogue Valley health organizations are getting a boost thanks to $ 6 million in federal funds. La Clinica, Rogue Community Health, and Siskiyou Community Health Center got the funds to bring new nurse practitioners and physician associates into rural communities for advanced training. It will expand La Clinica’s nationally accredited Advanced Practitioner Residency Program, which is now in its 3rd cohort.
