Scattered thunderstorms today ahead of some nicer weather
BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) -Happy Thursday! We saw a few showers and thunderstorms overnight, and we’ll hang onto the chance for more showers and thunderstorms through the day ahead. There could be a few hit-or-miss showers this morning, but I think the better chance of a few showers and thunderstorms will be this afternoon. I suspect once again that a thunderstorm or two could be on the stronger side potentially featuring gusty winds and maybe some small hail. High temperatures for Thursday head back into the mid and upper 70s. Most showers should wrap up through the first part of the night ahead as lows dip into the 50s.

Dry weather into Monday afternoon, then scattered showers and thunderstorms for late afternoon and evening. A few storms may be strong.
BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Tonight will be mainly clear before it becomes partly cloudy toward daybreak. It will be a bit cooler and less humid than recent nights with lows ranging from the upper 50s to mid-60s. Monday will be partly sunny and dry through around mid-afternoon. After that, a warm front, closely followed by a cold front, will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms. A few may be strong and/or produce heavy downpours, and isolated flash flooding can’t be ruled out. This is something we’ll monitor for the late afternoon and evening hours. High temperatures on Monday will be in the upper 70s to mid-80s, warmest south.

A few rain chances into the new week
BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) -Happy Monday! We start the new work week quiet through the first half of the day today, with a mixture of sunshine and clouds overhead. You may notice a milky look to the sky from wildfire smoke high above our heads. The good news—with the smoke being that high, there are no air quality concerns. We do start to see a chance for a few isolated showers and thunderstorms into this afternoon. We’ll keep the chance for a shower or thunderstorm going into the first part of the night as well. High temperatures for the day are generally in the low to mid-80s. Tonight, lows fall back into the 60s by early Tuesday morning.

Still hot and humid to end the week, and unsettled weather continues this weekend
BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Happy Friday! Unfortunately, the very uncomfortable heat and humidity of yesterday does continue today. Stepping out the door this morning is already mild with temperatures in the upper 60s and low 70s and very humid with dew points also in the upper 60s and low 70s. It does look like this afternoon will be a bit less humid than yesterday, but only slightly.
