Rochester students explore trades, other alternatives to college at career fair
Rochester, N.Y. — Some Rochester city school students got an opportunity last week to connect face-to-face with potential employers. Representatives from 10 labor unions attended a career fair at Wilson Magnet High School Friday, showing graduating seniors some paths they can take if they're not interested in attending college.

Man charged following robbery at Gates Motel
A police officer and another man were injured during a robbery at the Gates Motel Monday morning. Gates police were called to the motel, 995 Buffalo Road, following some sort of commotion in the front office, said Gates Police Chief Rob Long.
