Manlius man charged with defrauding investors out of $400k in Ponzi-like scheme
Manlius, N.Y. — A Manlius man who owns a personal training business in Baldwinsville was charged Thursday with defrauding investors out of $400,000. Jarod Cervoni, 45, brought in investors for his two businesses, Square 1 Wellness and Square 1 Performance, with the promise of profit-sharing, said Sgt. Kenneth Hatter, a Manlius police spokesperson.

SU goalie completes 24-hour challenge for 15 for Life Foundation
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR) — As the Syracuse Men’s Lacrosse team gears up for the NCAA Tournament, Patrick Duffy is still looking to raise awareness for mental health. The Redshirt Junior goalie has been thinking about doing an ultramarathon ever since watching his brother do one and after talking through logistics with the Syracuse staff, Duffy set the plan into motion. He would keep moving for 24 hours straight to raise awareness and money for the 15 for Life Foundation that was created in the memory of Rob Kavovit who took his own life in 2021.
