OKLAHOMA CITY ( KFOR ) – The Oklahoma City Fire Department responded to a fire at a vacant apartment complex Tuesday morning.

According to OKCFD, firefighters responded to a complex near NW 8th St. and Walker Ave. around 2 a.m. on Tuesday when a resident from a nearby apartment complex noticed the fire.

Upon arrival, the front gates of the building were chained closed and parts of the building were boarded up. Crews cut through the chains and began fighting the fire.

Officials say flames could be seen coming from the roof.

“We make entry, get it knocked down, searched the entire building. Nobody was in there.” said Capt. Craig Guthery with OKCFD. “I believe the winds were pushing it over here to the west.”

Firefighters were able to knock down the fire. No injuries have been reported.

The cause of this fire is still under investigation.
