Burn bans in place Saturday for most NCW counties
NCW — This weekend marks the start of outdoor burning restrictions in most counties around North Central Washington. Chelan, Douglas, and Grant counties have annual burn bans going into effect Saturday that prohibit burning yard waste and debris outdoors between June 1 and Oct. 1. The restrictions are put in place to keep air pollution to a minimum, and to reduce the risk of attended fires going out of control in the summer’s hot, dry conditions.
