Readers voted this restaurant the best chicken wing spot in Macon
Macon is home to some of the best chicken wing restaurants around, from Francar’s to American Faves, Macon Wings, Taco Mac and Buffalo’s. But which restaurant is the most loved by locals? Well, the Telegraph put that to the test in a chicken wing bracket. The bracket lasted several weeks, had four rounds and hundreds of votes with over 20 restaurants included. So, who won? In the last round, it was between No Name Chicken and Amici Macon. With 74% of the vote, Amici Macon took the victory. Amici Macon is located on Mercer University Drive and serves pizza, salad, soup and wings. “I’m so glad we won,” said Joe Joiner, owner of Amici. “I saw us in the running for round three and told all the employees to vote.” Joiner said he was proud to see their wings recognized as some of the best in Macon because the restaurant has been putting in the extra work with spicing up the menu and wing sauces. “Our original wing sauce has won awards and it’s simple to make. I’m not going to share what, but there’s an ingredient in there that I think makes it so good.” Joiner said the wings
