The “Make ‘m Smile” party is an annual event with Nathanial’s Hope that started as a way to honor and celebrate the organization’s namesake after he passed away at just four years old.

Cyclist hit by driver in Winter Garden has message for others when sharing the road
WINTER GARDEN, Fla. - A cyclist injured in a weekend crash in Winter Garden has a message for drivers: pay attention and be considerate to everyone on the roads. Hernando Angel was cycling with two friends on April 28 when a driver hit the group. According to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the crash happened on Hamlin Groves Trail near Tiny Road. All three cyclists were injured and transported to area hospitals.
The Villages needs to take control of multi-modal paths
My wife and I are avid bike riders. No we are not part of a club, or group. We ride for exercise and enjoyment. We are happy to share the paths with walkers and golf carts. On our last ride we encountered an electric skateboard going faster than any golf cart, even around the curves. There was no way that board could stop in an emergency. A week ago, two people on gas-powered motor scooters passed us with a smile. There are also little cars (some with street plates) and golf cars going way over the speed limit. We have had people pass us on the Chitty Chatty Bridge, crossing the solid line to do so, even with carts coming in the opposite direction.

ORLANDO, Fla. — On Wednesday, theFlorida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission approved a deal allowing the Central Florida Expressway Authority to build a toll road through the bottom 60 acres of the Split Oak Forest in exchange for the agency pledging more than 1,500 acres of donated land and about $43 million to restore, maintain, and improve the property and buy more conservation land in the future.
