Napa planning commissioner, longtime resident Bob Massaro dies
Bob Massaro, a city of Napa planning commissioner, longtime Napa resident and advocate of green and healthy housing construction, died early Thursday. He was 71 years old. Massaro served as planning commissioner for the city since being appointed in 2021, and often advocated for the importance of building housing along with measures to lessen the environmental impact of projects.

SACRAMENTO – A Northern California World War II veteran is headed back to France to visit Normandy for the first time since the war. June 6, 2024 will mark 80 years since the D-Day landings. To honor that anniversary, a number of World War II vets are being flown out to France next week. President Biden is also set to visit and attend commemorations. PG&E generators to take over Calistoga dog park for the summer
Calistoga dogs will have to find another place to frolic and fetch for the dog days of summer ... so local residents can hopefully keep their lights on. Starting June 3, the Calistoga dog park will house PG&E generators that will be able to supply the city with electricity should the utility initiate a public safety power shutoff.
