On May 2, Butler County celebrated its Achiever Award Scholarship ceremony at the Wendell Mitchell Conference Center on the Lurleen B. We have a winner! The second annual Hank Williams Sr. Talent Showcase held this past Saturday evening at the historic Georgiana Opry House Theater was finally concluded. Six of the most talented young artists from as far away as New Smyrna Beach, Fla. competed for a first prize valued at $10,000 and a recording contract.

BCSN Awards Banquet winners
The Butler County Sports Network (BCSN) Awards Banquet was held at Dunbar Community Center on Sunday, May 5. Georgiana water and sewer upgrades underway

The National Day of Prayer was marked throughout the nation on Thursday, including by people in Greenville.
