Pawtucket Police investigating hit-and-run that damaged utility pole
PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Pawtucket Police Department said it is investigating a hit-and-run on Mineral Spring Avenue. The driver allegedly hit multiple parked cars and damaged a utility pole. ABC 6 News crews on scene saw the damaged pole alongside multiple police vehicles.

Firefighters in South Shore Massachusetts hockey league save player in cardiac emergency
PEMBROKE, Mass. — Two South Shore firefighters who play in an amateur hockey league jumped into action to save the life of another player who suffered a cardiac emergency. Off-duty firefighters Brian Oriola, of the Braintree Fire Department, and Scott Hill, of the Duxbury Fire Department, were at the Hobomock Arena in Pembroke at approximately 8 p.m. when the other player collapsed.

Update: Flood warning issued for Bristol and Plymouth counties until Thursday midday
On Thursday at 9:08 a.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated flood warning in effect until 12:15 p.m. for Bristol and Plymouth counties. The weather service says, "Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected for portions of southeastern Massachusetts, including Bristol and Plymouth and Rhode Island, including the following counties, Bristol, Kent, Newport, Providence and Washington counties."
Providence Man Sentenced to Six Years for Distributing Oxycodone in Worcester Area
A man from Providence has been handed a six-year prison sentence for peddling oxycodone pills to an undercover officer, federal authorities announced. Brandon Jones, 35, received the sentence in a federal court in Worcester after pleading guilty to charges related to drug distribution, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney's Office.
