Chipotle, EV chargers, coffee: What to know about retail rising on a North Fresno corner
If you live around Maple and Behymer, the new shops, restaurants and gas stations going up in your neighborhood share a common thread: Jay Virk. The president and CEO of Bottom Line Group is behind the retail center reshaping the northeast Fresno-Clovis corridor, plus a long-running family connection to a Clovis pizzeria. Here’s a rundown of what’s planned and when you can expect to grab a burrito, a coffee or an EV charge. The updates The center at Maple and Behymer started construction in June, and the details of what to expect in that space are getting clearer. Chipotle, which will have a drive-through/pick-up window, stands to open by March. The center is also getting a Haraz , a quickly-expanding Yemeni coffee chain that’s got locations in more than a dozen states and is sure to complement the existing local Yemeni coffee scene . Haraz already has multiple locations in California, but this would be the first in the Fresno region. Virk said a high-end salon has also signed on to be a tenant, and that Bottom Line Group is reviewing multiple tenants to fill the last vacancy in the center. “We’re trying to pick the right perfect tenant for

A new-to-California coffee chain is building on this busy corner in Clovis
What’s behind the construction the barricades near McDonald’s at Clovis and Shaw avenues? Construction vehicles are digging up dirt for the next new chain coffee drive-thru. It’s not a Dutch Bros, not a Starbucks, but a 7 Brew Drive Thru Coffee . It’s a drive-thru-only coffee spot at the southwest corner, built in an empty parking lot between McDonald’s and El Pollo Loco. Its Clovis location will be one of the first in California. The Arkansas-based company has been exploding with new locations across the Southwest, particularly in Texas and Arizona. It has more than 900 locations in 38 states. The Clovis location will be 910 square feet with a double drive-thru lane that can hold up to 13 cars, according to a permit approved by the Clovis Planning Commission. Employees walk out to cars to take orders and deliver drinks to keep the line moving. It will have outdoor seating, but no indoor seating. If the construction process is anything like the location in the works for Visalia , a small prefabricated building will be lifted into place by a crane . So what is 7 Brew? The company has a concept similar to Dutch Bros business model. It

Fresno 93727: A Softer Seller’s Edge and a Shift in the Price Tiers
The last time we looked closely at Fresno 93727, the lowest-priced quarter of the market had the shortest listing time. This time, the middle tiers stand out. That change is a good reminder of why I like revisiting our ZIP codes rather than letting an old market headline do all the talking.

Pistachio Harvest Set to Plunge in 2026 Impacting Grower Revenue
A March heat wave combined with the natural alternate-bearing cycle of pistachio trees will likely reduce the 2026 harvest to less than half the 2025 record crop. Jeff Nichols, vice president of supply chain and grower relations at Nichols Farms in Hanford, says higher grower prices will not offset the smaller crop. He expects overall crop revenue to fall since prices won’t double while the harvest shrinks by half.
