Former JUCO star and seven-year college football defensive back Justin Harrington announced Tuesday he intends to transfer from the Oklahoma Sooners to the Washington Huskies.

He originally came to Oklahoma as a transfer from the junior college level prior to the 2020 season. He was among the top ten JUCO prospects in that year’s cycle. He was ranked the No. 7 overall JUCO recruit, No. 1 among cornerbacks, and No. 1 in California according to On3's Junior College Industry Ranking .

After redshirting the 2020 season, he appeared in 19 games as a Sooner with two interceptions and 28 tackles, according to ESPN.

“At 6-foot-3 and around 215 pounds, Harrington brings rare size to the corner position and has the versatility to play in a more hybrid role in the box near the line of scrimmage,” according to On3's Matt Connolly .

The addition will be a luxury for first-year Huskies head coach Jedd Fisch, as he prepares to enter the program’s first season as a member of the Big Ten Conference.
