Southern Living, a lifestyle magazine for southern readers, recently put out a list of "The 15 Friendliest Cities In The South." The list was made from a survey the magazine did via its readership. The survey took place from July 12, 2023 to August 23, 2023 and had more than 20,000 respondents.

'Major' road closures to impact downtown Franklin June 5, 6
Franklin drivers will see “major road closures” next week as CSX begins construction on train tracks in downtown Franklin. State Route 96/3rd Ave. S. will be closed all day on Wednesday, June 5, at the railroad tracks, while Lewisburg Avenue will be closed all day on Thursday, June 6, at the railroad tracks.
