SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) - The City of Sparks is unveiling the list of road closures for this weekend’s Cinco de Mayo event. Victorian Avenue from Pyramid Way to Victorian Plaza Circle East and 10th Street between Avenue of the Oaks and Victorian Avenue will be closed on May 4 and May 5.

The pollen count is high in Reno/Sparks, but not as high as it could be. The Allergy and Asthma Associates in Sparks takes a weekly sample, and their most recent one shows trees causing the most havoc on our sinuses lately. The data was collected on April 30th and May 1st. While tree pollen is in the high category, weeds are absent, grasses are medium, and mold is low.
