All I-64 lanes back open after Nitro multi-vehicle crash

UPDATE: (6:30 P.M.) – All lanes of I-64 West are back open after a multi-vehicle crash in Nitro Wednesday evening, according to West Virginia 511 cameras.

Kanawha County dispatchers say no one was taken from the scene for medical treatment.

NITRO, WV (WOWK) – A multi-vehicle crash is causing a traffic backup on I-64 West near Nitro.

According to Kanawha County Metro 911, the crash happened just before 5:30 p.m. Wednesday near the westbound Nitro exit on I-64W near the Nitro Bridge. Dispatchers say four vehicles were involved.

Traffic is moving slowly around the crash, but one lane is currently blocked, according to West Virginia 511 cameras.

Dispatchers say Putnam County medics are checking out one person at the scene, but no one has been transported for medical treatment at this time.
