Erie County deputies to pay $5 million in punitive damages to Richard Metcalf Jr's family
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Erie County Deputies will need to pay the family of Richard Metcalf, Jr. $5 million after a jury reached a verdict Thursday in a civil trial. The Erie County Attorney confirms to 2 On Your Side that the jury awarded $1 million for each of the five deputies in punitive damages.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Tesla has announced another round of layoffs at their Buffalo plant in South Buffalo. Tesla filed a WARN notice with New York State on April 29, 2024 that was posted May 1. According to the notice, 26 workers will be affected in this round of layoffs beginning July 30, 2024.
