Cincinnati will permanently close the Gest Street ramp to Seventh Street on or after December 1, 2026, as part of the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor project. Dr. Geri Maples wrote “Surviving The Wounds Of War, As Told By The Heroes, Invisible Unseen” after her husband, a decorated National Guard veteran, showed symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) shortly after he finished his service.
