Flooding and strong-severe storms possible
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A First Alert Weather Day has been issued for Tuesday morning due to multiple possible strong to severe storms. The First Alert Weather Day for Monday has ended, however, a Flood Watch remains in effect through 8 p.m. Tuesday for Grady and Seminole Counties. Rainfall around 3 inches has fallen and with an additional 3-4 inches possible flash flooding may occur. Watch for rising water in those areas.
Teen driver critically injured in Colquitt Co. hit and run, suspect wanted
MOULTRIE, Ga. (WALB) - A 19-year-old is in critical condition, after a hit-and-run crash in Colquitt County. WALB has obtained surveillance video showing the moment Jordan Jones was hit by a pickup truck while riding his moped north on Veteran’s Parkway in Moultrie. The crash happened on Tuesday, May 14, just after 9:30 p.m.
