    What's closed, canceled, postponed Wednesday in Lee County because of storm

    Here's a list of what's postponed in Lee County because of severe weather in Southwest Florida. Have a closing or cancelation to report and add to this list? Email dosborn@gannett.com.

    Bonita Springs bar is closed Wednesday

    The Center Bar in the Promenade at Bonita Bay announced on Facebook that it's closed Wednesday because of the weather.

    "We hope to see you tomorrow!" the bar announced.

    Captiva library closed Wednesday

    The Captiva Memorial Library said it's closed as of 12:30 p.m. Wednesday because of the storm.

    "Normal operating hours are in effect for all other branches at this time and our online library is always open at leelibrary.net/online ," the library said.

    2 Sanibel beach parking lots closed because of flooding

    The Blind Pass and Lighthouse Beach parking lots were closed Wednesday because of flooding.

    Officials say they'll notify the public when the lots reopen.

    Mighty Mussels games canceled Wednesday

    The Fort Myers Mighty Mussels have canceled Wednesday's doubleheader with the Lakeland Tigers at Lee Health Sports Complex due to inclement weather, the team announced on Facebook .

    One game will be made up on Thursday, June 13, as part of a doubleheader beginning at 4:35 p.m. Gates will open at 4 p.m. Both games will be seven innings.

    The second game will be made up on Saturday, June 15. Saturday’s doubleheader will begin at 3:35 p.m. Gates will open at 3 p.m. Both games will be seven innings.

    All tickets to Wednesday’s doubleheader can be redeemed for a ticket to any other Mussels’ game in 2024

    Lakes Park Farmers Market modifications

    Aux Délices Artisan Bakery and Cafe will no longer be in attendance at the Wednesday, June 12, event.

    The bakery itself will still be open for breakfast and lunch from 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m. at 1520 S. Tamiami Trail, Fort Myers.

    Jeep Night at Hooters canceled for this month

    Weather conditions have been deemed unfit to host the event scheduled for Wednesday, June 12, at Hooters of Fort Myers.

    For those who crave Hooters, rain or shine, the location is offering a “Rainy Day Rain Check” deal in place of Jeep Night. From 6-10 p.m. June 12, stop by the 4411 Cleveland Ave., Fort Myers, location for $10 boneless wing platters.

    The next Jeep Night will be Wednesday, July 10. Show your Jeep key for 15% off food and non-alcoholic beverages and entry into a giveaway raffle.

    Mighty Mussels game canceled; rescheduled for Wednesday

    The Fort Myers Mighty Mussels have canceled tonight's game due to inclement weather, the team announced on Facebook .

    "The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader beginning at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow, June 12. Gates will open at 4 p.m. Both games will be 7 innings," the team said. "All tickets to Tuesday’s game can be redeemed for a ticket to any other Mighty Mussels’ game in 2024."

    Safety demonstration Tuesday postponed because of weather

    A Lee County Board of County Commissioners Summer of Safety demonstration at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Estero Community Park has been postponed.

    No new makeup date has been announced.
