The Supplemental Security Income payment for July, worth up to $943 for individual filers, goes out to millions of beneficiaries in under three weeks.

The payment will be sent out on Monday, July 1, in 20 days to those living with a serious debilitating disability that results in a limited income, according to the Social Security Administration .

The maximum amount people can receive depends on how they apply. Categories include individual filers, joint filers, and essential persons, who live with SSI recipients to provide them with necessary care.

Individual filers receive up to $943 each month, people who filed as a couple can receive up to $1,415 a month, and essential persons get up to $472 each month. Due to inflation, these amounts have increased by 3.2% since last year.

To qualify for the payments, a person needs to be at least partially blind or have a "physical or mental condition(s) that seriously limits their daily activities for a period of 12 months or more, or may be expected to result in death."

Regular Social Security benefits are not included in SSI payments. Enrolling in Social Security does not automatically qualify someone for SSI payments, and not every recipient enrolled will be entitled to the maximum amount.

The SSA provides a calculator on which filers can see a personalized estimate.
