Casey O'Neill could be returning to the cage this August, as a bout between her and Tereza Bledá is reportedly being targeted for UFC 305.

Mike Heck of MMA Fighting was the first to report the planned bout.

O'Neill would get to compete in front of a home crowd for the first time in her UFC run. Born in Scotland, O'Neill moved with her family to Australia at a young age.

O'Neill is 4-2 in the UFC since joining the promotion in 2021. The UFC's 2021 Newcomer of the Year had been an unbeaten name to watch out for at flyweight but has dropped her last two fights. O'Neill lost to Jennifer Maia at UFC 286 last March and Ariane Lipski at UFC 296 nine months later.

Bledá, meanwhile, won her first five fights in OKTAGON MMA, winning the promotion's flyweight title, before defeating Nayara Maia on Dana White's Contender Series in 2022.

Since then, Bledá has been stopped by Natalia Silva in November 2022 and scored a decision over Gabriella Fernandes in August 2023.

UFC 305 is expected to take place on August 17 in Perth. The targeted main event is Dricus Du Plessis defending the UFC middleweight championship against Israel Adesanya.
