Caitlin Clark has received high praise from fans and media personnel online over the past few days, but some fanatic WNBA fans and even league alumni believe that Clark is getting too much credit.

The WNBA has been attempting to improve every aspect of their league for years. They've been able to upgrade different aspects like security, travel, and viewership, with massive modifications made in the last month.

Former WNBA star Chiney Ogwumike shared her insight on the subject matter.

"Expansion has also been in the works the past few years. But again slow & steady wins the race," said Ogwumike on X.

"All of this was the perfect storm for women’s basketball. The W is rooting for Caitlin and the rising generation bc when they win… we win! Rising tide lifts all boats. BUT these women are pros & also have a job to do. This will bring out the best in em. Just keep watching," Ogwumike continued.

Ogwumike is specifically taking charge in calling out NBA analyst Charles Barkley. He was on live television prior to the Mavericks versus Timberwolves matchup and voiced his opinion on individuals throwing shade at Clark.
