Patrick Morrisey secures Republican nomination for West Virginia Governor

CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey has secured the Republican nomination for Governor of West Virginia.

“I’m grateful for all of those who are here tonight and for so many of you who have fought together alongside of me for many years,” said Morrisey on Tuesday night, doubling down on campaign promises to defend the right to life and First Amendment rights.

“It’s a message to the swamp,” he said of the victory. “It’s a message to Joe Biden; a message to the world; a message to the media – You do not mess with West Virginia!”

Morrisey will take on Democratic nominee and Huntington Mayor, Steve Williams, who secured the Democratic nomination on Tuesday by way of an unopposed run.
