Newhall Man Arrested In Ventura County For Sex Crimes Against Minor

A man from Newhall who has been arrested several times for selling marijuana products to minors was arrested again last week in Ventura County, this time for sexual crimes.

Christian Navarro, 25, of Newhall, was arrested in Ventura County Friday on six allegations of crimes against a minor, according to Court records.

The charges laid against Navarro include: committing a lewd act on a child 14 or 15 Years Old, luring a minor with intent, arranging a meeting with a minor for lewd purposes and statutory rape.

Over the past several years, Navarro has been arrested multiple times by the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Juvenile Intervention Team (J-Team) in connection with illegal marijuana sales to minors.

Navarro was on probation for one of his previous convictions for drug sales in Santa Clarita at the time of his most recent arrest in Ventura County.

Navarro is set to appear in court on June 7 and is being held on $60,000 bail, according to court documents.
