Two people are behind bars after an interstate drug trafficking investigation led to arrests in Western North Carolina and Southern Alabama.

The Macon County Sheriff's Office (North Carolina) says Teresa Green was arrested there two weeks ago on charges of trafficking meth and maintaining a drug house. Those charges came after 3 ounces of meth were seized in the search of a home.

The Sheriff's Office and Franklin Police Department (North Carolina) got information about a drug trafficking operation in Geneva County, Alabama. They contacted law enforcement agencies in Alabama and the interstate investigation began.

Last Friday, a search warrant executed in Southern Alabama led to the arrest of Tony Wayne Rodgers. A pound and a half of meth, over 2 dozen guns, 8400 dollars in cash and other contraband was seized.

Rogers was booked without incident in Geneva County which is about 30 miles southwest of Dothan, Alabama.
