HANCOCK/BROOKE COUNTY, W.Va. (WTRF) – The Brooke Hancock Family Resource Network provides various supplies and services for community members in need.

Their mission is to help provide people with what they need to live, raise their children and lead successful and meaningful lives.

They offer a food pantry, baby supplies and hygiene products.

Some food options they offer in collaboration with the Mountaineer Food Bank include non-perishable items like canned goods, beans, cereal, etc. On occasion they do give away nice gift bags that include fresh fruit, dairy and frozen meat.

Baby products available include diapers, wipes, (on occasion, formula), binky’s, toys and other baby items.

There are hygiene products for men, women and children as well as laundry detergent and cleaning supplies.

All of these items are separated by county, Brooke and Hancock, since funding for these supplies is often county specific.

Executive Director of the Brooke Hancock FRN Janna Gordon says they do not require proof of residency or income.

“We do not do any income verification or residency verification. Everything is just based off of what you tell us. And we know that it’s difficult for people to reach out and ask for help sometimes. And so, we don’t want to make it any harder than it needs to be. So please call us, let us know that you need support, and we will be there for you. And we also have the listings of everyone else in Brooke and Hancock County that are offering support as well for food or baby or hygiene, household, any financial assistance, anything like that.”
