BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A tentative schedule for a waterline replacement project in Bedford County has been released and multiple roads will see restrictions or closures.
The construction began on Sunday, April 28, and will end on Thursday, May 2. Work will take place from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. in the following areas:
AT&T invests $1.6 billion in Pennsylvania network infrastructure Crew #1 will take care of the following construction
April 28
- Construction on Pitt St, between Juliana and Richard Street
- Parking will be restricted overnight in this area.
April 29
- Construction at intersection of Pitt and Richard Street
- Parking will be restricted by approximately 100`, in each direction, to allow for flaggers.
April 30
- Construction at intersection of Penn and Richard Street
- Parking will be restricted approximately 100`, in each direction, to allow for flaggers.
Crew #2 will take care of the following construction
April 29
- Construction at intersection of Penn and Anderson Street
- The intersection will be closed to all thru traffic.
April 30
- Construction at intersection of Penn and Wood St and Penn and East Street
- Thru traffic will be restricted as follows:
- On Wood Street, between Pitt and Penn St
- On East Street, between Penn and John St
May 1
- Construction at intersection of Penn and Bedford Street
- Thru traffic will be restricted on Bedford St, between Penn and John St
May 2
- Construction on Penn St, between West and Thomas Street
Crew #3 will take care of the following construction
April 29
- Restoration of pavement on the following street sections:
- Juliana St, between Penn and Walnut Street
- Forbes Rd, between Simpson and West Street
- Hench Street
April 30
- Restoration of pavement on the following street sections:
- John St, between Richard and West Street
- Thomas St, between John and Penn Street
- Thomas St, between Penn and Pitt Street
- Simpson St, between Richard and Bedford Street
- Bedford St, between Simpson and Watson Street
- Watson St, between Bedford and Richard Street
- Watson St, between Richard and Juliana Street
Pavement restoration will be done by a moving work zone crew. Streets will be closed two (2) blocks at a time.
