Search warrant leads to arrest in Holmes County

HOLMES COUNTY, Fla. ( WMBB ) – On Monday, deputies from Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with Bonifay Police, successfully carried out a search warrant in connection with illegal drug sales.

According to authorities, this operation began after extensive investigations by HCSO officials, who had purchased methamphetamine from the residence, which led to the issuance of the search warrant.

The search warrant was executed at 511 McLaughlin Ave.

As a result of the search warrant, several grams of methamphetamine were discovered in the residence. The owner of the home, Hershel Thomas, has been arrested and charged with the sale of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine.

“This operation highlights the unwavering commitment of law enforcement agencies in combating illegal drug activities within our community. Through collaborative efforts and diligent investigations, we are dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents” HCSO officials said.

The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office appreciates the support of Bonifay Police in successfully executing this search warrant.
